Culloden Academy is the largest Highland school with nearly 1100 pupils. We are located to the east of Inverness city, the capital of the Scottish Highlands. The school was built very well indeed and is pleasing to the eye, - looking good even now 30 years on. It has real architectural merit in keeping with older buildings close beside us such as Culloden House Hotel. It is surrounded by often pastoral scenes with Highland cattle and their calves in the neighbouring fields, excellent sports fields, and great views of the Black Isle and towering Ben Wyvis. The school enjoys a vibrant atmosphere and a safe, modern working environment. Offering an enormous range of sporting, musical, enterprising and cultural activities for our pupils, we also enjoy a relaxed social atmosphere. Our excellent teaching staff work hard in conjunction with leading-edge facilities to give your child an enviable Secondary School career and very good qualifications to take on to their next steps in life. This website - designed, managed and maintained by pupils and staff - is a hub for the latest school news and for links to learning online, as well as providing subject and course choice information for pupils and parents. You'll be able to find out all you need to know about how our school works. You can take a trip around the school in our virtual tour to get an even greater idea of what life for a Culloden Academy pupil is like. We hope you like what you see. Mr S T Dowds, Rector
